Master of Education (MEd)
The Master of Education (MEd) program is designed to prepare students for effective leadership in Christian, public and private schools. The Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Administration and Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction, Gifted Education, Special Education, School Counseling, and Reading Specialist programs may lead to Virginia licensure or endorsements.
All programs demand high academic and moral standards of students. Completion of a master’s degree in the School of Education implies thorough knowledge of the content of the student’s major.
The School of Education is certified by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV), and is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
Its licensure programs are approved by both the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Education and the Association of Christian Schools International.
Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:

Program Format
The Master of Education is a 36 credit hour program with the exception of the School Counseling concentration which requires 48 credit hours.
The program is available in multiple delivery formats. Distance learning courses are supported through video/DVD lessons.
